Local‑First by Design — All your investment data stays on your device.

This privacy policy applies to the Investment Tracker mobile application (the "App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information you store using the App.

1. No Data Collection by Us

The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or financial data on any external server, cloud service, or third‑party platform. All information you enter — including investment amounts, portfolio holdings, transaction history, notes, and preferences — is stored exclusively locally on your device using the device’s internal SQLite database (via SQFlite).

We do not have access to this data. We never receive, see, or process your investment data remotely. The App functions entirely offline by default, and no synchronization or backup is performed automatically.

2. Local Storage & Security

Your data resides only within the App’s private sandboxed storage on your device. The operating system’s native security mechanisms (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore, file encryption) protect this data. While we implement industry‑standard coding practices to safeguard the local database, the ultimate security of your device — including screen lock, OS updates, and protection from malware — remains your responsibility.

Recommendation: Regularly back up your device’s storage to avoid data loss. The App does not provide its own backup or restore feature.

3. Permissions

The App may request certain device permissions to enhance your experience:

  • Internet (optional): The App may require an internet connection only to fetch public market data (stock/crypto prices) if you enable that feature. No personal data is ever sent over this connection. The App does not transmit any of your investment records online, and you can use all core tracking features without any internet connection.
  • Biometric authentication (optional): If you enable Face ID / Fingerprint lock within the App, that authentication data is handled by your device’s secure enclave and is never shared.
  • Storage (not used): The App does not currently request storage permissions, as export/import features are not yet available.

4. Offline & No‑Internet Operation

The App is designed to work fully offline. You do not need an internet connection to create, view, edit, or delete any investment data. All data remains on your device at all times.

Because the App does not require internet connectivity for its primary functions, it will never attempt to download or upload any personal information without your explicit, optional action (such as enabling live price updates). If you choose to never grant internet access, the App will continue to function as a complete offline investment tracker.

5. Third‑Party Services

The App does not integrate any analytics SDKs (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics), crash reporting tools, or advertising networks. No third‑party service receives any information from the App.

If the App includes links to external financial websites or news articles, those destinations are subject to their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or data practices.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. Since we collect no data whatsoever, there is no risk of unknowingly gathering information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, rest assured that all data remains local and can be deleted by uninstalling the App.

7. Your Control & Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

  • Delete individual entries — Use the App’s built‑in editing features to remove investments or transactions.
  • Clear all data — Uninstalling the App from your device will permanently delete the entire local SQLite database and all related files. No residual data remains.
  • Manual device backup — You may use your device’s native full-system backup (iCloud, Google Drive, etc.) to preserve the App’s data, but this is not a feature of the App itself.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy (Offline Updates)

Since the App does not require an internet connection, we cannot push live updates to this policy. Any revision to the privacy policy will be made available through:

  • App store updates — When you update the App to a new version from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, the updated privacy policy will be included in the new version. You will be prompted to review it within the updated App.
  • Manual download — The latest privacy policy will always be accessible on our website (e.g., https://autoevent.lexardtechnology.com/investment_privacy_policy if you view it online).

The effective date at the top of this page indicates the last revision. Continued use of the App after receiving an update (via app store installation) means you accept the updated policy.

This privacy policy is effective as of the date shown above. Because all data remains local, no consent, data processing agreement, or data subject request mechanism is required under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws — you are the sole controller of your data.
